After discovering the body of her boyfriend, who has been stabbed to death in his flat, Julia Fraser becomes the prime suspect in a murder case. She seeks refuge at the home of her ex lover James and his wife Delia whose rather strained marriage adds to the complexities of this already tangled group of friends. The arrival of Delia’s ex husband Miles and Inspector Sally Rudge cause deeply embedded jealousies and revenge to surface as the plot twists to implicate the most unlikely suspect.
