Green Room Productions return with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical Carousel.

Carousel revolves around the ill-fated love affair between Billy Bigelow, a swaggering, carefree carnival barker, and gentle millworker Julie Jordan. Marrying only weeks after they first meet, against everyone’s advice, their relationship hits a rocky road as Billy struggles with financial difficulties and the constraints of settling down. On learning he is to become a father, Billy vows to change his ways and provide for his family, but he falls in with the wrong crowd and dies in the aftermath of a robbery gone horribly wrong.

Sent to purgatory for 15 years, Billy is given one day to return to earth to redeem his soul, where he reaches out to his daughter. But is it too little too late?

Society continues to struggle with the issue of domestic violence and, eighty years on from its 1945 debut, this ground-breaking musical remains as relevant today as ever.

This patriotic and nostalgic afternoon is filled with marvellous and memorable songs, including a rousing selection from Last Night of The Proms, Old Time Sing-alongs, Great British Show Tunes, and ever popular favourites from the 40s 50s & 60s.

This promises to be their biggest and most spectacular patriotic production ever. Over two hours of timeless nostalgia, with sensational voices, more than 50 stunning costume changes, including a spectacular 1940’s style VE Day party with enough bunting, flags and fun to light up the brightest stage, followed by flag waving finale in a heartwarming tribute to the veterans of the armed forces.

Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has fallen in love with a “normal” boy and it’s time for their parents to meet…. but not before she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Can Uncle Fester and the family’s spooky ancestors keep the love story on track, or will Pugsley’s meddling and Grandma’s potions get in the way?
