Chris achieved so much in the game, playing for England 62 times, winning the French Championship three times with Marseille and being named the 1993 Football Writers Footballer of the Year.

In 1987, Chris recorded the song “Diamond Lights” in a duet with Spurs and England teammate Glenn Hoddle. The song reached number 12 in the UK Singles Chart in May of that year and the pair appeared on Top of The Pops. Chris is now a respected football writer and also a voice on BBC Radio Five Live, offering a unique insight into the game he loves.

Host for the night is Richard ‘Crackers’ Cracknell. Crackers is a lifelong spurs fan watching his first game back in 1976. Crackers is a regular contributor to the award winning ‘Last Word on Spurs’ podcast and a transfer deadline day reporter for Talksport.

During the evening there will be an auction and raffle with some great prizes up for grabs. There is also a chance to ask Chris questions and to purchase some fantastic memorabilia.

The Best in Comedy – June

The Best in Comedy show returns to The Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar this June with a fantastic line-up featuring the hilarious Milton Jones, Jessica Fostekew, Felicity Ward & Vittorio Angelone!

Milton Jones: Him with the shirts from Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and Radio 4.

Milton reveals the truth about being an international spy, before being given a disappointing new identity which forced him to appear on Mock the Week & Live at the Apollo.

Alfie Moore: A Face for Radio Tour

Somewhere in a parallel universe little Alfie’s natural comedic performance skills were recognised by his doting parents who encouraged and developed his blossoming talent. After several years as a stage school brat Alfie’s angelic face was launched on stage and screen and the rest is history.

Meanwhile, in this universe Alfie Moore was told to stop messing about in class before being ‘encouraged’ into the grinding, grimy world of an apprenticeship in the Sheffield steelworks. When recession hit he traded steel for copper by joining Humberside Police.

Thirty years of shift-work, initially in the Sheffield steelworks and then as a copper on the beat (where he was punched in the face quite a lot), has left him with ‘a face for radio’. A face not so much ‘lived in’ as inhabited by a settlement of squatters with little regard to property maintenance and repair.

In his 40s a surprising career shift turned middle-aged Alfie from street cop to BBC radio star. But when TV fame beckoned could he grasp it or was he past it?

“…offbeat, revealing and very funny” Daily Mail

“…thoroughly engaging, endlessly funny. His charisma shines through as bright and colourful as a twirling blue light. Mature Times
