The Best in Comedy show returns to The Wyllyotts Theatre, Potters Bar this September with another top line-up featuring the fantastic Tom Davis, Ahir Shah, Matt Bragg & Kate Barron!

Tom Davis is best known for hit shows King Gary, The Curse, Live at the Apollo and Murder in Successville, as well as his hugely popular podcast Wolf and Owl with Romesh Ranganathan, which has received critical acclaim and sold out live shows.

Tom is also known for his stand out performance in Wonka and multiple appearances on A League of Their Own, The Ranganation, Judge Romesh, and Action Team.

Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Ahir Shah’s sharp, intellectual brand of stand-up features a blend of philosophical inquiry, political vigour, and sweet gags.

Come and Sing Cole Porter Workshop

We will be discovering the history and work of legendary COLE PORTER. From his musicals Anything Goes, Kiss Me Kate, High Society and more, we will be learning songs from Cole Porter’s songbook including Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Anything Goes, Let’s Do It, You’re the Top, Blow Gabriel Blow, It’s De-lovely, Friendship, Why Can’t You Behave and True Love.

Cole Porter was a brilliant American composer and lyricist known for his witty lyrics, sophisticated melodies, and glamorous lifestyle. Born in 1891 in Indiana, he defied his wealthy family’s expectations by pursuing music. Fascinatingly, Porter wrote both the music and lyrics for his songs—something rare in musical theatre—and many of his tunes became enduring standards of the Great American Songbook.

From the iconic feline dancing CATS to the majestic savannahs of The Lion King, 101 Dalmations, the Jungle Book, Tarzan, Wizard of Oz and many others this workshop explores the magic of musicals that bring the animal kingdom to life.
