The Vicar of Dibley

Potters Bar Theatre Company returns to the main stage of the Wyllyotts Theatre with the classic comedy “The Vicar of Dibley”, adapted from the hugely popular 1990s TV series.
NO no no no no no…yes! Following the death of the village of Dibley’s elderly vicar, this hilarious comedy finds the parish council members, led by their pompous, opinionated chairman David Horton, waiting to greet his replacement. They are definitely not expecting anyone like Geraldine Granger, ‘a babe with a bob cut and a magnificent bosom!’ Against all the odds, the sunny, fun-loving Geraldine (aided by dippy verger, Alice Tinker) starts to win the hearts of the eccentric inhabitants of the quiet village of Dibley: Hugo, Owen, Frank, Mrs Cropley and, of course, “no no no no yes”, Jim!
The Vicar of Dibley is a stage play by Ian Gower and Paul Carpenter adapted from the original TV series by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer. With kind permission of Tiger Aspect Productions and Comic Relief.
A non-professional production by Potters Bar Theatre Company in aid of Comic Relief.
