Come and Sing The Sound of Music
Sat 10 May,We will explore what makes this Rodgers and Hammerstein musical a true classic and why it has such a universal appeal.
Set in Austria in 1938, the musical tells the story of Maria, who takes a job as governess to a large family while she decides whether to become a nun. She falls in love with the children, and eventually their widowed father, Captain von Trapp.
We will be visiting many songs from the musical such as “Edelweiss”, “My Favourite Things”, “Climb Ev’ry Mountain”,
“Do-Re-Mi”, and the title song “The Sound of Music”.
